01
Search, retrieve, and synthesize
The AI Web Search Summarizer was one of Daniel’s personal submissions to the 2022 OpenAI Environmental Hackathon. It combined web search with AI-generated synthesis to turn multiple retrieved results into a concise, readable overview.
The design centered on a now-familiar interaction: ask a question, locate relevant web material, and use an AI model to organize the findings into a useful response.
02
An early AI search experiment
Created in 2022, it was an early personal project combining web search with AI-generated synthesis, before that interaction pattern became commonplace in consumer search.
The project explored a direct way to reduce the work of opening, comparing, and condensing several search results while keeping the search step connected to the generated summary.
03
Hackathon recognition
A separate submission, The Green Career Hack, earned grand-prize recognition in the same event. That project focused on environmentally aware job discovery and impact validation.
The distinction matters: the AI Web Search Summarizer was Daniel’s personal search-and-synthesis experiment, while The Green Career Hack was the prize-winning submission.
